Learning doesn't stop after an officer completes the field training officer program, it is imperative that veteran staff continue to assist in the development of lesser experienced officers. He is being recognized as an officer who has shown the willingness to help newer security staff manage situations that they have had little exposure to while assigned to the Training Division. His guidance has allowed officers the opportunity to confidently grow and better their skills in a true working environment.

It was also noted that in April his effective inmate supervision and management skills prevented an inmate attack from occurring. He recognized the signs of a possible assault and he quickly secured the inmate in question, while taking custody of a possible weapon.
